Mägo de Oz ("Wizard of Oz" with a heavy metal umlaut), (also known as simply Mägo) is a Folk rock and Heavy metal band from Spain.[1] The band was formed in mid-1988 by drummer Txus. In 1992, the band was finalists in the "Villa de Madrid" contest. They went on to achieve great success in Spain and in 1995 were declared Revolution Rock Band. Around 1996 the band's definitive line up began to emerge. That same year, they began recording the rock opera CD "Jesús de Chamberí", produced by Alberto Plaza and Mägo de Oz. The CD was released in 1996, through Locomotive Music. The band is well known for the strong Celtic feel to their music, strengthened through their usage of a violinist and flautist. The name for this band was chosen, according to founding member Txus, because "Life is a yellow brick road on which we walk in the company of others, searching for our dreams."

End of Green.German rock band, which was formed 1992 in Stuttgart.
In 1996 the group published their first album, which four further followed. The band name means, according to singer Michael Huber by the end of the color green symbolized hope. This fits with the type of music which the band produced. Your style the band describes as Depressed Subcore. The lyrics is about loneliness, depression, pain and death.

Established in 1991 with a simpler death-thrash style, MERCENARY have continuously expanded creating ominously sinister music that resonates with a unique Scandinavian coldness. Its success secured the band multiple European tours supporting bands like Evergrey, Brainstorm and Nevermore, as well as summer festival appearances at Wacken Open Air, Summer Breeze, Earthshaker Fest, Dynamo, Inferno Festival, Roskilde and many others.

Lacrimas Profundere is a gothic metal band from Germany. Their name means "to shed tears" in Latin. Their stylistic aesthetic has evolved over time, originally a death doom rooted gothic metal band, they have progressively changed their style to a more mainstream gothic style with the late albums.
Lacrimas Profundere was founded in 1993 by guitarist Oliver Schmid. At the time, the band was influenced by doom metal, and also made use of feminine vocals and classical elements. With the entrance of vocalist Anja Hötzendorfer, they drew enough attention to themselves to be able to record their debut, entitled ... and the Wings Embraced Us, which was released in 1995 and was followed by La Naissance d’un Rêve (French for "Birth of a Dream"), from 1997.

After the said releases, the band was granted a deal with Napalm Records which included five albums. A harpist was added to the band's line-up and they proceeded to record Memorandum (1999).

Burning: A Wish from 2001 was Lacrimas Profundere's first album to receive attention from the international specialized press. This album featured the removal of the band's classical elements to some degree, and was also the first time they employed baritone vocals, supplied by Oliver's brother, Christopher Schmid. Their first international tour then began, including countries of Europe and Latin America.

Ill Niño was founded in 1998 New Jersey , they had released a demo EP in that same year with Jorge Rosado on vocals and Christian playing bass. The EP was entitled El Niño, when they were originally called El Niño, after the weather phenomenon. It wasn't until 1999 that they had officially formalized. After Rosado's return to his band Merauder, the band held auditions for a new vocalist, but ultimately decided that the best decision was for Christian to step up to vocals. El Niño, recently having changed their name because it was already being used by another band, then released another demo EP in 2000, the first that was readily available to the public, and they signed with Roadrunner Records shortly thereafter.

TANK på Sweden Rock 2009
New wave of British Heavy Metal ( NWOBHW) som kom och storma fram slutet av sjuttiotalet och en bit in på åttiotalet innan Thrash metal fick sin dominans mfl genre, så måste jag plocka fram denna skatt
TANK,, från storbritannien,, mfl, lite av nåt som påminner om Sabatons förfäder långt tillbaka i hårdrockensfödelse,, många band i NWOBHW har sina krigiska gruppnamn.



"Tank blev med sin punksnabba, Motörhead-influerade hårdrock ett uppskattat tillskott till New Wave of British Heavy Metal då de debuterade med "Filth Hounds of Hades" 1982. Deras närmast efterföljande plattor blev klassiker även de, men vid 80-talets slut hade Tanks stjärna dalat tillsammans med de flesta av deras samtida kollegors. Något decennium senare återupptog de verksamheten, men högst sporadiskt mycket på grund av sångaren, basisten och bandledaren Algy Wards bristande arbetslust. I december 2008 meddelades det att denne inte längre var kvar i bandet och att ett nytt Tank, frontat av själve Doogie White (Rainbow, Cornerstone, Yngwie Malmsteen) sett dagens ljus. För ett par å sen hitta jag en intressant grupp från Lund av en slump och följt dem lite då och då och väntar på ett genombrott och debutalbum, för dem gör grymt bra musik, jag pratar om Cullooden.

Midnight Rock på B&B i Halmstad 9maj 2009
Mitt första intryck på låtarna är att My Last Faith kan bli grymt bra band. Tungt sound och en kraftfull röst och välkomponerade gitarrstycken. Jag fastna lätt för dessa. spana gärna in deras Myspace och lyssna på lite fler av deras låtar.
Ena sköna låtar som lätt fastnar och skriker om mersmak och abstinens, Störtskönt sound som lätt kan hitta hem till svenska hem och vrå hos gedigna rockers!!!  Får hoppas att se och höra My Last Faith i större sammanhang och arrangemang, radio mm

Då har det äntligen blivit mindre än en månad kvar till festivalen. I år blir vi ett stort gäng som drar dit och planeringen är redan i full gång.
Öl håller på o bryggas, T-shirtar ska fixas o en skåneflagga måste vi lätt ha med oss..

Men jag, MangoKid passar på och tipsar om 4 Band nu under tiden, som är väl värda och känna  till.

The band started off as Punk Rock under the name of Rått kjøtt (Raw Meat), A year later from 1993 to 1998 the band was known as Execution and played Thrash Metal. from 1998 to 1999 the band was known as Millenium and played Melodic Metal. Soon they had to change their name due to legal issues and changed it to Theater of Pain, which they were known as from 1999 to 2000. Yet again later in 2000 still playing Melodic Metal they change their name to Eternal Flame. Then finally in 2001 change their name to Gaia Epicus and start playing Power Metal.

Bai Bang (Swe)

Sist men inte minst tipsar jag om ett Lokalt band från Helsingborg. Blev förtjust i dem när min förra granne spelade deras låtar för mej ett par år sen och nu är dem igång igen och har nyss släppt ett nytt album.

The band have been on tours with bands like Alice Cooper, Dio, Ratt, La Guns, Union, Pretty Maids among others and have been playing on festivals like Sweden Rock and wacken.  (hair metal, glam metal, pop metal)

Valborg i Helsingborg. Fick fram kameran och lyckades ta en av dem finaste solnedgångarna med skitkameran xD... men så vackert... Hade inte kunnat göra bättre i MS Paint!!!!
