Det vi väntat på: Nu och Här dagas en ny vår med först 80th Oscars galan, röda mattan, kändisar champangne, statyetter och Glitter & Galmour. En helsingborgare, en skåning, en entreprenör, en trendsättare i matkulturen!



Frigoscandia Distribution AB. Frigoscandia invigde sitt första fryshus 1950. Kring premiärfryshuset, som döptes till Helsingborgs Fryshus, utvecklade Frigoscandia djupfrystekniken. Samtidigt började Frigoscandia att bygga upp en mix av logistik- och livsmedelskunskap. kanske lite av Marabou's förtjänst när dem köpte Findus?

"Tore Lauritzson, the first to import hamburgers into Sweden and the founder of refrigerated trucking company Frigoscandia." Han tog idéen om hamburgaren med sig till Sverige efter ha fått upp ögonen av fryshusteknik när han var över och reste runt om i USA 1947 och kom i kontakt med hamburgaren i samma svep. Öppnade han upp en egen hamburgarbar till H55, Bruger-Grill, efterinvigd 1956 av Prins Bertil.

"Till Sverige kom hamburgaren på 1950-talet. Den första lär ha ätits på utställningen H55 i Helsingborg 1955, Landets förstahamburgerbar Burger-Grill."

"1955 was another milestone for innovations from Helsingborgs Fryshus. In connection with the important H55 trade fair in Helsingborg in 1955, Tore Lauritzson ordered the erection of the Burger Grill near the exhibition area. This was the first time Swedes had the chance to get acquainted with the hamburger and the event pre-dated the McDonald´s entry into Sweden by more than a decade. And just like today, that very first hamburger bar worked with frozen semi-prepared ingredients. "

1966 öppnade fryshuskungen Tore Lauritzson, Stek-Wändaren/Burger Grill i Malmö. Efter ett par år ändrades namnet till Mando, som översatt betyder "jag äter". Restaurangen finns fortfarande kvar idag!
